GBS worked together with Systemnet 2000
to provide a complete start-up solution. A fully switched, multi-subnet
network was installed with wireless 802.11b access, allowing laptop
users to roam the building free of any wires.
An Internet connection was provided and
configured to allow specific internal users to access the World
Wide Web (WWW). The whole internal network was then protected
from the Internet behind a securely configured firewall and IDS
(Intrusion Detection System) configuration.
An E-mail and Thin-Client
solution were also implemented in order to fulfil specific requirements.
GBS provided not only the expertise in configuring the equipment,
but also the supply of the kit itself. GBS and Systemnet 2000
Ltd then signed a support/management contract to cover all of
the configured hardware.
